Cheap Touristic Activities when Visiting Dallas

By Texas Blogs at 2015-03-10 05:33:29
Dallas is in top five most populous cities of the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. It is a city known for its numerous railroad lines, its oil and cotton industry. If you’re thinking of tasting a bit of the Texan lifestyle and tap into the history of cowboys, then Dallas is the place to be. But, if you find yourself tight on money, the first thing you could do is use a Dallas charter bus which is a very affordable means of transportation.

Now that you’ve rented a Dallas charter bus you can move on to making a vacation plan best suited to your taste and pocket. There are many ways for you to enjoy various activities and still save some money in the process.

If you are into arts and culture then you can go to the Art District. Here you can take a free and self-guided tour with Public Art walk Dallas. Along the route that spreads across more than three miles you will discover thirty pieces of architecture and art. Or you can visit for free the African American Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art or the Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection. Or you could just visit the historic neighborhoods of the town such as Munger Place, Swiss Avenue, Kessler Park and Highland Park.

One of the other things that you can do in Dallas, which doesn’t involve money, is discovering the history of the town. There are lots of places to explore, so after you’ve rented a Dallas charter bus, you can go visit as many as possible. For starters, you could see the John F. Kennedy Memorial, which is a concrete monument symbolic of an open tomb. You could also study the town history at the Hall of State which is at Fair Park or you could also get a taste of the old countryside life by visiting the Dallas Heritage Village.

If you like the outdoors then you could go to Cedar Ridge Preserve, where you’ll find a vast place of preserved wilderness. Here you have hiking trails, a picnic area and native-plants nurseries. You have another hiking possibility in the Trinity River Audubon Center and it’s free of charge on third Thursday of each month. You’ll discover nature’s beauties because here is one of the largest hardwood forests in the United States with over two hundred and twenty bird species and plenty of wildlife.
